Functional and decorative pottery in terra cotta and stoneware
Judy and Tom Prichard opened Oak Grove Pottery Studio and Gallery in 2005, after moving to Nashville in 2003. They spent their first two years in Brown County building their studio and then their home, with their own hands.
Most of Judy’s work is produced as terra cotta functional pottery for use in your home. She also enjoys creating one-off decorative pieces and sawdust fired pots. She has a great love of reproducing baskets in clay, basket designs in functional pieces, leaf motifs and large sawdust fired urns.
Judy spent three years studying ceramics in Sydney, Australia, in addition to her previous schooling in the United States at Indiana/Purdue University Ft. Wayne. She exhibited in several ceramics exhibitions in the Sydney area as well as having photos of her work published in an Australia wide ceramics magazine.
Artist Statement:
“I create each piece for the recipient. As I produce a piece, I strive to know the person who will receive it. I hope they will know when they hold the piece they choose to buy or receive as a gift, it was made just for them.” |
Wander through our herb, vegetable and flower garden, our home gardens and see the garden art of other artists and our own acorn and basket birdhouses. Also, don't forget to take a walk down the path to the pond to feed the fish.
