Oil painting and gemstone jewelry
Norene has lived in Brown County over 20 years with her husband, Steve. She attended John Herron Art School in Indianapolis and studied art at Indiana University before moving to Japan. There she took both oil painting and Japanese ink brush painting classes.
She has been a member of the Brown County Art Gallery since 1998. Her medium is mainly oil painting and her favorite subjects are landscapes and figures.
In 2004, she began creating gemstone jewelry as well as painting. Her jewelry can be found at the Wildflower Boutique at the West Baden Hotel in West Baden, Indiana.
Norene will be showing her painting and jewelry as a guest artist at Chris Gustin's Homestead Weaving Studio.
